We are a group of high school leaders (or teens)
that are not afraid to take a stand in favor of
positive and healthy choices. We are committed
to keeping our peers substance free and helping
them make healthy choices.
Is to empower teens to keep their schools and communities alcohol and drug free by taking positive peer leadership roles. The group meets monthly and coordinates awareness projects and activities that promote healthy alternatives to drug and alcohol use.
Teens Care Too, a group of young leaders, encourages their peers to avoid using alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. The group recognizes that building a community of healthy and informed youth is vital to the sustainability and improvement of our community.
We have developed and implemented the Hidden in Plain Sight program. We also assist with the Cafe Conversations program working with middle school youth. This past year we were instrumental in promoting National Red Ribbon Week. We are beginning to develop short PSA's with the title, Know the Truth, Spread the facts. We also staff resource tables at various events, participate in Sticker Shock and send teams to the YADAPP student Leadership conference. This year we had 3 youth who were staff at YADAPP!
