Initiatives
Hanover Naloxone By-Mail Program
This program aims to reduce opioid overdose fatalities by empowering Hanover County residents with an easy, no-cost way to be prepared. It provides discreet home delivery of Naloxone kits for residents 18 and older, run in partnership with the Hanover County Community Services Board.
REVIVE! Training
Free virtual and in-person education classes to teach community members how to spot and reverse an opioid overdose.
"You Are Worthy" Bags
The "You Are Worthy" initiative provides bags filled with mental health and substance-use resources. In collaboration with the Community Services Board, Ashland Police Department, Hanover Sheriff's Office, and Hanover Fire/EMS, these bags are distributed when first responders attend an emergency.
